As the latest member of the Proton family, the sales of the Proton S70 continue to rise. In February alone, sales increased by 60.5%, reaching 2,314 vehicles. So it has easily become the best-selling C-segment sedan in the Malaysian market, even surpassing the Honda Civic which has long dominated the market. The Proton S70 is a compact sedan with dimensions measuring 4,602 mm in length. Its exterior design draws inspiration from the X90 and Geely Emgrand, featuring distinctive elements like dotted water tank guards and circular factory emblems. LED daytime running lights adorn the front, with higher trims equipped with LED headlights.
The car rides on either 16-inch or 17-inch wheels, depending on the trim level, and boasts eye-catching through-type taillights with 190 LEDs. Interior features vary, with fabric seats in the entry-level model and leather upholstery in higher trims. All variants come with a 10-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and rear air-conditioning outlets.
Safety features include standard ADAS systems like blind-spot detection and rear collision warning, with higher trims adding semi-autonomous driving assistance. Powering the S70 is a 1.5L MPI Turbo engine paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox, delivering 148hp and 226Nm of torque.
Combining the needs of our Malaysian customers with the actual sales of this car, we received an order from a Malaysian customer in March to develop the s70 car spoiler mold. Now that the mold and basic development are completed, it is currently in the detail modification stage. Mass shipments are expected in early May.
